In 2017, after over 20 years in the corporate world, Gadija Gamieldien took a leap of faith to start her own online platform, CookHalaal. She tells us about the twists and turns on her journey.
When Gadija Gamieldien left the corporate world in April 2017, she did so with more than two decades of business experience, including nearly 15 years of e-commerce, and a significant amount of data analysis and book club membership model knowledge under her belt.
Being a food fanatic for more than 23 years, she always dreamt of developing her own online platform for curated Halaal food content. In October 2017, this dream became a reality when Gadija’s CookHalaal online platform went live.
CookHalaal allows users to view, submit, download and share Halaal recipes from cooks from around the globe.
