We have lost a dear brother
The Big Issue family is deeply saddened by the passing of vendor Xolani Nkomityhoboza in December 2020. Xolani worked as a vendor in Claremont for more than 10 years and also held a satellite station for The Big
Issue, providing magazines to other vendors. He is survived by his wife and five children whom he loved dearly. Xolani will always be remembered as a kind soul. A diligent and hard worker, he held a part-time job as a tiler – whatever it took to provide for his family. Xolani passed away tragically in a car accident while on route to the Eastern Cape to visit his extended family. Rest in peace, Xolani. Our condolences go out to the bereaved.
