Journalist Lukhanyo Calata is a newsmaker in more ways than one. We speak to him about his book My Father Died for This, in which he and his wife Abigail document the Calata family’s legacy.
Parliamentary news correspondent Lukhanyo Calata featured in newspapers long before he even understood what the media was all about. The son of the late Fort Calata – one of the Cradock Four who made news headlines in 1985 when they were brutally killed by apartheid state security agents – Lukhanyo was only three years old when his father died.
