March 14, 2016They’re films with a conscience – South Africa’s third-ever SA Eco Film Festival will be hosted in Cape Town from 31 March to 3 April at the Labia Theatre.
Showcasing award-winning films by South African and international talent, the festival aims to highlight a host of environmental and social issues.
Films address often-controversial issues such as the illegal wildlife trade and war on poaching in Africa and Asia, the true cost of cheap and trendy clothing, Europeans who are cooking with waste food, the degradation of unique baobab forests in Madagascar, Sweden’s hard-core cycling advocates, and powerful portraits of global communities fighting against climate change.

The South African Eco Film Festival is a project of the non-profit organisation, While You Were Sleeping, which aims to bring documentaries with important social themes to South African audiences.
