A brush with daytime television has John Bird questioning the future of art … and the revolution.
Shot down with a sore throat, from talking too loudly and too long, I entered another world; of daytime TV, and lounging. There were no classic films to watch, no insights into war, which was the basic diet of earlier daytime TV times. Just a show about selling stuff, in which the money received seemed paltry.
