Sumien Brink shares her favourite photo shoot of 2018. Simone Stiglingh and Kholisa Thomas had fun with giant animal pieces from design brand Kare, which opened store in Johannesburg earlier this year.

“When you need a break always remember that bigger is better. Holiday time and end of the year pressures can sometimes just be too much for all of us. That’s why in VISI we always try to put a smile on your face. Nothing lifted my spirits more than an article our deputy editor Annemarie Meintjes did use oversized animals. Just looking at these pictures makes me feel happy. This is a huge trend in Europe, and now these larger than- life animals can be sourced locally. This holiday season makes time to play with the big boys” – Sumien.
