IMISO CERAMICS
Distinctive. Clay. Art. This is the slogan of Imiso, and a perfect description for its products. The manufacturing company creates high-end ceramic artworks. Zizipho Poswa and Majolandile Dyalvane founded Imiso in 2005, inspired by traditional objects like isiXhosa milk pales and Ngumi storage vessels.
With their studio and gallery space in the buzzing Old Biscuit Mill in lower Woodstock, the brand quickly grew in popularity, winning both local and international customers. Besides its decorative collector’s ceramics, Imiso now produces functional home and officeware. Imiso Ceramics is open Mondays to Fridays, from 9am to 5pm. www.imisoceramics.co.za
