Can Kobus bounce back
Kobus Smith, a Big Issue vendor who recently stopped selling The Big Issue magazine at Canal Walk Mall, Century City, hopes to be at a selling point in Milnerton soon.
A few months ago, Kobus Smith, 46, stopped selling The Big Issue magazine at Canal Walk, as the mall’s management changed its policy on allowing vendors to sell the magazine from its premises.
Canal Walk’s management reconsidered its decision, and called on Kobus to return to his selling point following an article published by The Big Issue

“Canal Walk management agreed to have me back on condition that I have a magazine stand to sell the books from. A generous person donated R900 towards building a stand. A few weeks ago, the management team contacted The Big Issue to say that it has reverted back to its original decision not to allow anyone to sell the magazines from its premises,” says Kobus.
