Stanley Henkeman, executive director of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, discusses his life and work.
What is your job?
I am the servant leader of a think-and-do tank that wants to help South Africa and the global community learn lessons from our difficult pasts and create strong platforms of inclusion and agency for the generations to come.
What are the main aims of the institute?
The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) wants to contribute to building fair, democratic and inclusive societies. We want to enable African and global communities to promote reconciliation and apply human-centred approaches to socioeconomic justice.
