After breaking her pelvis, TV and radio personality Liezel van der Westhuizen is facing one of her toughest challenges to date. She’s so much more than a pretty picture.

Liezel van der Westhuizen is not afraid to tackle a challenge – after all, she’s done Ironman triathlons, twice finished the Dusi Canoe Marathon, she SUPs, she dives, she swims. Hell, she’s even competed in a Ms Fitness competition! But the KFM early morning show presenter’s latest escapade reaches new heights – literally. Together with partner Cindy Jacobsz, who has macular degeneration, she’ll be tandem cycling 500km across the Himalayas, reaching 5 600 metres above sea level over several days of a gruelling slog.
