Symbols of peace

After a recent spike in violence and taxi strikes, the class decided to focus on prayer flags – finding a nature image to express prayers for themselves and others. We’ve featured our vendor Batsi Jorofani’s artwork, Friendship, on our cover this issue. Batsi has conveyed the intimate relationship between two women deep in conversation through their body language and the angle of their heads.
