The ideal candidate will be a qualified social worker with at least 5 years experience. The position is contract based and offers flexible hours ( 20 hours per week ). Salary R 6000 – 7000 per month.

Duties include:

• Providing professional social work services to assist and manage the well – being of our vendors through providing counselling, guidance and assistance.
• Actively recruiting new vendors to join TBI, through networking with other NPO’s.
• Assessing the needs of vendors and ensuring each vendor has a Personal Development Plan in place.
• Conducting home visits when required.
• Designing and running various programs and workshops in partnership with other organisations.
• Writing monthly and quarterly reports on the activities of the department.

Requirements:

• Four year qualification on Social Work and registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professional ( SACSSP )
• Excellent communication skills ( both written and verbal ) in English and isiXhosa
• Fully computer literate
• Excellent social work administrative skills

In addition:

• Experience in networking and relationship building with NPO’s and other organisations to enhance vendor well being
• Experience in presenting and facilitating groups/ workshops
• Driver’s licence and own car
