THE JP21 PROJECT
A feeling of belonging
This organisation promotes an active and healthy lifestyle to children aged five to 14 years in the Mitchells Plain and Strandfontein areas. Founded by Proteas player JP Duminy in 2015, its mission is to create a positive environment for learners to express themselves and develop in cricket.
Someone to talk to, someone to listen
Hope House Counselling Centre, located in Table View, was started by Judy Strickland in 2004. The centre offers drug testing and counselling as well as community-based treatment for teenagers in school. The NPO also supports the family members of those with drug, alcohol, sex and other addictions. Hope House provides a safe space for addicts to talk about the realities they try to escape from.
