Traditionally tourism in Cape Town is focused around the pristine beaches of the Atlantic Seaboard, the buzz in the city centre, a few restaurants in the southern suburbs and the bucolic winelands. The Cape Flats is mostly ignored or presented as a novel afterthought. This is changing though, with a determined group of entrepreneurs who are putting Khayelitsha on the map for the right reasons.
